Just back from my second lesson in Shotokan karate. Where last week I had no idea what I was doing at any point, this week I was only baffled about 85% of the time and, as we practiced the first kata, i started getting into it and enjoying myself. It feels weird to shout kiai but Sensei Richard says you get over that. Also last week I was completely exhausted by the end of the training session and this week I felt energized. I wish I'd started this a year ago :-)
