Was chatting with Allan Engelhardt of Cybaea in #kmtalk about promoting the Social Tools for Enterprises Symposium and he not only had the great idea of registering some Google Adwords but went ahead and paid to do it. You're a gentleman and a scholar sir! Many thanks.

Playing catch-up

Met up with Allan Engelhardt this evening for a few beers and a chat. It's been a while since we saw each other (my fault) so we had a lot to catch up on. Allan's great company and we had a pretty good go around what we're both doing at the moment. I think he's got something very cool and I'm glad to see he's working with Bruce Lewin of Four Groups.

I am reminded that I had forgotten to blog about meeting Jordan Frank of Traction software last month. I've been chatting with Jordan, on and off, for a couple of years so it was great to finally meet him when he was speaking at a conference in London.

It was actually quite weird how it worked out. I'd arranged to go out for a beer with Jordan that evening and, conveniently, had a meeting with another mate, Allan Engelhardt, that afternoon. At the end of our meeting Allan says "see you later" and it took me a moment to work out what he was talking about. His name was even in the To: list of Jordans email.

We ended up in a very nice Chinese restaurant where Jordan, Allan, Terry Bloxham, Jay Bregman, and I enjoyed a great meal and boisterous conversation (you can tell the food was good because the plates were practically scoured clean!)
